Ohio Comprehensive Home Visiting Integrated Data System (OCHIDS)

Overview

The Ohio Comprehensive Home Visiting Integrated Data System (OCHIDS) serves as a user friendly, statewide web-based data management solution for Central Intake and Referral, as well as state supported home visiting and community health worker programs.  that will enables state and local level leaders to drive progress toward health and targeted services outcomes. The system serves three key vital functions:

  1. An electronic health record (EHR) containing all home visiting assessments, screening tools, progress notes, family goal plans and other program documents;
  2. A data reporting system providing on-demand reporting on performance measures, demographics and other key performance indicators. OCHIDS also possess the capacity to communicate and report data across other state and local data systems;
  3. A system of payment for applicable home visiting services.

Implementation Timeline

  • June-August 2016 – Stakeholder engagement;
  • September 2016 – Initial business requirements developed;
  • November 2016 – Product development;
  • June 2017– Stakeholder testing initiated;
  • January 2018 – Production launch for Community Health Worker Programs;
  • July 2018 – Production launch for home visiting programs;
  • July 2018 – Phase II development-enhancement begins. (updates to be posted to this page)
